Save Donington Parade Sunday 7th March
If, like me, you are a bit of a petrol head then you may also have fond memories of Donington Park, not only for race events, but also rock concerts, festivals, track days etc.
Since the death of Tim Wheatcroft and the stalling of the track refurbishment the future of this great motor racing circuit is uncertain.

If you want to show your support then there is a parade being organised for the 7th of March
Arguably one of the best in the country, depsite the odd queue to get out - be a shame if it went the way of the Dodo.

Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig

They would make more money by turning it in to one huge cheap car park for East Midlands Airport.:D0

I think Bernie Ecclestone might be interested in it again. He's going to need somewhere to store all these Saabs he's going to end up with.

Good cause.
Donington, whilst not having the best facilities in the world, was as a circuit is one of the best in the country. The facilities at Silverstone are hardly anything to be proud of either mind, given that it's merely a scaffolding yard surrounding an airfield that makes up without doubt the dullest circuit in the UK and the second dullest in F1.
Such a shame that Gillett was allowed to leave Donington in the state that he did.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hopefully now that Gillet's company has gone into administration, and the lease has now reverted to the Wheatcroft family, someone will take over the reins and start to undo the damage and return Donington to a usable condition.
Hopefully it'll be done quite quickly - in time to allow WSB and BSB to return next year.
The financial damage due to the loss of Moto GP will be harder to repair.
Oh, and it's Tom Wheatcroft - not Tim !
