Welcome Finance 8 weeks gone

Hi All
Tomorrow is the 8 week deadline for welcome finance regarding my mis-sold PPI claim. I have rang them over the weeks and they have acknowledged my claim as well as confirming having received my completed questionaire.
What is my next move as I should think that if I just keep calling them they will say its being dealt with and just may be stalling.

Any suggestions?

    Hopefully it will be back on time, however there are going to be some delays with the posting as well due to bad weather conditions.
    I would see what comes back tomorrow, and if you receive nothing from them give them a call just to ask if a letter have been sent out yet.

  • they wont reply within 8 weeks i keep quoting this to them they ignored me for over a year finally had to go through financial obudsman to get them to reply they agreed to settlement 8 weeks passed still nothing they say will be another 3/4 months theyre a joke dont think ill ever get payout

    Really sorry but the Financial Services Ombudsman is well aware of the delays in responding due to the number of claims being received as everybody has jumped on the bandwagon and is trying their luck.
    Welcome are currently dealing with claims received towards the end of September 2009 and many customers have been sucessful in their claims and some not but as long as you have received an original acknowledgement and a further letter at the end of the eight weeks i'm affraid the FSO will only advise that you will have to be patient and don't forget every call you make to chase it is time taken away from dealing with the claims received.

    Funny I spoke to welcome finance todaywho say they have only justopenened claims from 1st August 2009 today, i maybe taking them away from dealing with claims but ive been waiting nearly 14 months and heard every excuse in the book with them they cannot even agreed what date they are actually working on the company is a joke, never mind takingthem away from doing their jobs i dont beleive they are doing anythingotherwise this would have been delat with by now, Have contacted FOS and they are willing to take back up the case asthey gave welcome finance strict time lines to stick to so some good news at least let them deal with it:T

  • Hi there chichibake,i to have complained to welcome. Phoned them yesterday and was i told i would have an answer early February and my claim started the 22nd October 2009. It's a bit of a joke when they know they have 8 weeks :mad:,but was told that they have taken on new members of staff to help deal with the backlog of claims.

    Must admit I have been told similar by Welcome that they have a backlog and its taking about 3 weeks per month to clear it up. So lets hope they get their finger out.
