I bought this a couple of years ago and it is fab. We have 4 children so we can fit plenty in it for all of us. I normally stick a large whole chicken in it at 10am and we eat about 5pm ish, delicious.

I always thought the advice was that slow cookers were unsuitable for cooking poultry because they don't get the food hot enough to kill salmonella, something poultry is prone to harbouring.

Thanks, got mine today, seemed to be the last one in stock anywhere in the area. Seems a great price for such a big one. I've never used a slow cooker before so didn't want to spend a lot in case it ends up gathering dust.

I'm looking forward to trying it out, not sure what to start with.

Bought one of these recently, managing to track one down to Leek, about 7 miles away from where I live. Since i wanted to go there anyway, it worked out for me. I have used it and i can't praise it highly enough, same for the OP for spotting this beauty of a bargain! Many thanks!
