HMV DVD misery!

Hello, I was wondering if any body coluld help, or has had a similar experience. I ordered a Wuthering Heights DVD from HMV on the 18th December. I called their 0845 number tp place the order. The man I spoke to said it would arrive the following day (19th) or at the latest the 21st.
It didn't arrive on the 19th, or the 21st, but then I went on holiday. The DVD was for my mum so I bought her some chocolates and other bits and bobs. I arrived home from my holiday on the 9th Jan, and still no DVD. I have checked my bank statement and the money left my acount on the 22nd. HMV say they have no record of this order! What next!

    Did you get an order reference number?

    Seems like a simple mistake to me. Contact HMV in writing with all the details and ask them to investigate.
  • Well I have called HMV today and they said that they have nothing on their system for me, no record of me ever being a customer of theirs. I have drafted a letter and taken taken a photocopy of my bank statement to send to them. I'm just worried that they have been able to debit my account without any trace.

    You sure it was HMV? Ask the bank if they have any more details on the payment? Might throw up a reference number or telephone number?

    When you ordered the item, did you recieve any info via email? What does that say?

  • Yes sure it was HMV and it says that on my bank statement. It's all very strange!
