Im a bit of a lurker on here, but I would like some advice please.
We have a Virgin Credit Card thats up to its limit, have been making the minimum payment every month for last year, as our financial circumstances changed. We have contacted Mbna to ask for a interest freeze or some other help to enable us to get back on our feet.
They wanted a budget plan from us, so we went through everything with a fine tooth comb, reported back to mbna to which they replied that we can afford to pay them £160 a month, which we clearly know is incorrect and we dont have that much money spare. We did it again and got the same reply. They did not want to know our montly payments only the debts we have outstanding. They did not want to help us at all. They just keep on insisting that we should have enough money.
We dont smoke, drink about 2 bottle of wine a month, are very tight with our shopping budget.
We are not sure which way to go now, has anyone else experienced this situation with doing a budget plan
cheers in advance
