    This stops mould growth inside the rad which is a possible cause of the air.
    Mould is biological - you don't get mould in CH systems. Corrosion in CH systems is chemical - this is what leads to gas in the system which can be air or hydrogen.
    Also ask for automatic bleed valve ( or air vent) in the boiler to be checked for correct working.
    Assuming the OP has one fitted of course.
