I have recently applied for a sainsburys CC at a reasonable lifetime apr, my question is what are they like on the card limits? I have requested a transfer of 7.6K from my egg card but obviously I dont want to take up the card if they only offer me a low limit as it will get expensive monthly.

Thanks, I had read that, but what concerns me is having multiple cards that require a monthly repayment which really stretches me, min2% on one & another obviously adds up to 4 on both. Anyone got one of these cards recently care to disclose what limit they gave you .

You pay 2% of your total balance (debt). If you have £10k on one card you pay £200. If you have £4k on the first card and £6K on the second card (£10K in total) you pay the same £80+£120=£200 ... In this case 2%+2%=2%
The only problem is two payments instead of one. I always recommend direct debit.0 -
I recently applied for the Sainsbury CC on the 0% purchase for 12months. But the limit was quite low (less than £3K), rang them up and advisor said that can call up 6months to review the limit to build up some credit history with them.
But as i've got the credit i guess its no point wasting it.

Not quite relevant but to save starting another thread, a question about Sainsbury's credit card.
I have a Sainsbury's Classic Visa card and pay off thr balance in full each month. Just received a letter from them advising that interest will be calculated on a daily basis from August and not monthly as at present. Is this going to affect me in any way?0 -
I got a Sainsburys card, the limit was about a third of the last card I got. But the limits seem to fall slightly with each card, even though I only keep 2 on the go at any one time. I don't mind as i thought the limits were a bit high and I got as much as I needed, but I put it down to a couple of years of tarting indicating I wasn't a profitable customer.I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven0
