DS-Lite and free accessory kit

I've been waiting to buy until some offers came along, and Argos have today started offering free accessory kits to anyone buying their DS-Lite's. They're worth £20, so not bad at all !

DS Lite + game + acc pack for £120 is still available in store; just not shown on the website anymore. If any one argues, just find one of the in shop flyers; the promotion is valid until the 28th July IIRR.

I don't think the accessory pack is of any use to DS Lite owners.

The carry case is too large, the safe lens shield is too big for the screen and the car adapter doesn't fit the DS lite.

So for £20 for a set of headphones, 2x stylus, a wrist strap, game storage cases, and a cleaning cloth is a bit steep.

Got this package for my son yesterday. A couple of points......

In store flyer shows DS Lite at £99.99, game at £29.99 and accessory pack at £19.99 - a total of £149.97. Less £20 gives a total of £129.99. However, in store stock-checker shows DS Lite priced at £89.99. After some discussion with the Manager I managed to get all three for £119.97 - worth chancing your arm for as I doubt this 'error' was only in my local store.

With regards the accessory pack, the in-car charger is 'dual-headed' and fits both the DS and the DS Lite. The case is fine, the main difference between the DS and the DS Lite is in thickness and that's not an issue with the straps in the case to hold the DS Lite in place. The two lens shields fit fine.

I searched around for ages looking for a better deal....you won't find one, even if you only want to buy the console.

Noticed the Toys R Us offer is out of stock on the website. Still it does appear the best I've seen.

Though individually the items in the offer are still in stock, weird huh ?

Shennanigans suspected. Are they taking the offer down due to demand ?
