Fair play to the OP - this is one of the funniest spam threads ever. Top stuff. "I put a phone number on by mistake" - love it.
Upgraded by score to 4/10 for humour value.

You're saying there are seven million people with criminal convictions (where? specifically Liverpool?)

It's so tempting to post a stereotypical response to that one ;)

    OP

There insurance is only worthless if they have misinformed the insurer regarding their criminal status and hence are not insured due to their own error.

If they do declare the convictions then yes they are likely to have increased premiums due to normal underwriting and pricing criteria but then this serves them right and is perfectly legal.

If your stats are right then you are basically telling us these 7 million people didnt reform well and have came out and committed fraud which has lead to their insurance being void.

Inadvertant non-disclosure is not a problem as the FOS have issued guidelines on that and in most cases, people would get paid out. Intentional non-disclosure is fraud.

So, if the paper is saying that 7 million people are not going to get paid out, it is effectively saying that 7 million people have committed fraud.

I decided to have a look at the Liverpool Echo as the op cannot post links. Could not find the article he alludes to but did find this.

Liverpool lawyers expect mass of compensation claims after snowy weather

LAWYERS in the city are expecting a deluge of compensation claims from pedestrians who have slipped on ungritted surfaces.
Graham Cunliffe, partner at law firm Jackson & Canter, said: “They will start coming in over the next few days. People who have fallen over are probably recovering at home or in hospital.
“You’re going to get claims from falls in places where there should have been grit and there was not.”
Mr Cunliffe also said Liverpool City Council was vulnerable to compensation claims after leaving ice on city centre pavements for days.
He added: “With the forecasts they should have got enough grit in. A lack of grit in high volume pedestrian areas might give rise to claims. There may be claims coming because of a lack of planning.”

I don't see a problem with the sound advice given within this article.

After taking all due care and precaution I slipped and badly sprained my wrist on the ice rink in Queen's Square.

That ice rink has been there for at least 6 weeks - ample time for the council to react and cover it in grit. It was just an accident waiting to happen....

The 6 weeks had me wondering - yes indeed, he is talking about an ice skating rink - tongue firmly in cheek. Great stuff.

EDIT - I did find the article the OP alludes to but since it is an "advertisement feature" I'll not bother posting a link.

Neil are you are that it is against the law to post on an internet forum if you are pretending to be a customer and do not make it clear you work or are asociated to the company. Have a read of the Unfair Business Practices which are the law. Then try googling your own telephone number and see how many posts have been made by happy customers who all post your telephone number and say how great you are.

P.S If the policyholders do not declare their criminal conviction when the Insurer asks a clear question about convictions are they still ripping the customer off?

Are you not bringing in as much business you promised when you had the interview?
