I dyed my hair with permanent black dye recently... have been using Tgel and it has pretty much stripped the colour off in a couple of weeks (not good as I didn't want it to
) so maybe try that?

ANy luck yet? I've just had mine re-done and it is now more or less what I had in mind. I feel loads better now.
My colourist's face was a picture when she saw me walk into the Salon - very much OMG it shouldn't look like that:eek::eek:0 -
Have you tried swimming? The chlorine in the water fades hair colour, it worked for me when I did a similar trick
You need to go a few times but it really does fade the colour.
I'd use this advice with caution. While swimming pool chlorine does have an effect on hair dye, it doesn't always just fade it. You could end up with some weird colour instead. My dark brown colour had greenish highlights after a trip to the pool:eek:.
It's only a game

try head and shoulders shampoo
my friend is a hairdresser and that what he does if a colour goes wrong on his own hair - it strips the colour seemingly0 -
hi,thanks for all of your replies, unfortunately i haven't got round to trying anything other than head and shoulders as yet as i have been suffering with migraines. i have been using head and shoulders for a few weeks now, but i think it only seems to fade very recently coloured hair as it has had no effect on mine. i know that it works on newly-dyed hair, as many years ago i streaked my hair with red, which went really bright and was advised by the brands' helpline to rub head and shoulders into my DRY hair, and it did fade.....but no such luck with this one!0

Apparently the best thing you can use is a 'clarifying' shampoo aimed at hair with too much product build up. I also recently read that there's now a stripper on the market that you can use at home, although I can't remember what it's called
I'll have a look around and see if I can find it.
Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0 -
Apparently going at it hardcore with conditioner is a good idea too. I've had a mooch around a few forums and one girl got rid of her colour by slathering her hair with conditioner every night before bed, then washing it out in the morning....tad time consuming though!Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0

Just bumping to see if the OP or anyone else had any luck with any of the advice given?
I have dark brown hair at the moment and been using head & shoulders for about 2 weeks trying to lighten it ( not much luck)
I want to put a lighter brown hair dye on and am I right in thinking it wont go any lighter if I put a lighter hair dye on if it stays as dark as this?New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.
No place in the world that can compare ♥ 2nd October 2010 ♥0
