IVF person dies

Not got all the facts yet it may be an IVF or a bankrupt,
The family did not think he had any money when he died however it was found out that he was due a lump sum on death from the National Coal Board (£6000) the family were in debt by arranging the funeral.
As the £6000 is the deceased estate does the cost of the funeral have priority above all other debts
Thanks

Are you sure that the lump sum goes to the estate and not next of kin? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

IVF ??

I think the money will go into the estate - I know when I took out my IVA I asked what happened if something happened to me (well 5 years when you ride racehorses for a living is a long time!!!) and I was told that if the IVA person died, the debt died with them, and the IVA would finish....
good luck finding outDo not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0
