how can I tell if its an agency or employer

I placed this ad on another board on here but thought I would try this one two for tech stuff as someone may have the answer if the other board does not.

So many agencies these days advertise jobs which half the time dont seem to exist, since we are fed up joining constant agencies with no job at the end of it, I wonder if anyone can help me here.

Does anyone know of any programs of where when you say tap in the email address that it will tell you whether its an agency or company?

Some time back a job place for people she had this special program where she could type in the name of the place and it told her, but that place has now closed so I didnt think to ask the name of the programme.

I tried typing in the email addy but it does not really state to be honest.

For eg. this email

[EMAIL="recruitment@eventconcept.co.uk"]recruitment@eventconcept.co.uk[/EMAIL]

It sounds like an agency but it could be the HR dept at the company.

So if anyone knows any programs that can tell me whether this is just another employment agency or the actual company would be appreciated.

I don't know of any sites that do it, I'd be interested in it myself. Most companies go through agencies now as they don't like the hassle and sorting out the crap so to speak

That email address looks to be a direct link to the company involved. By going to their website address you can see if it's an agency or not.

You can't find out who is monitoring the emails, but you will probably find that's it someone internal within the company who looks after that "mailbox"

Take the email address, get rid of everything up to and including the @ symbol and replace with www. - put this into your browser and it should take you to the website:

[EMAIL="recruitment@eventconcept.co.uk"]recruitment@eventconcept.co.uk[/EMAIL] --> https://www.eventconcept.co.uk
