  • Many companies in France pay a year's salary over 13 installments instead of 12 -- so you get a double payout near the end of December.

    I have asked and that's pretty much the response I got. Basically because they fulfilled their contractual agreement to pay us by the last working day of the month they haven't done anything wrong.

    We weren't told 'officially' that we'd be paid on the 18th, we were just told it was going to happen.

    It used to help at Christmas and hurt BIGTIME in January.

    Until I learned to plan my finances. Now it makes no difference whatsoever.
