Mamas and papas high chair

Hi all,
New to this forum and hoping someone can give me some advice...
We were given a Mamas and papas high chair ( brand new) under a year ago as a gift from a relative. They paid a lot of money for it, being Mamas and papas.
However, we have recently noticed cracks beginning to show in the frame of the chair. Although this doesnt affect the performance, we are a bit miffed that a chair which cost a lot of money is made to a poor quality.
Anyone have any idea where we stand in regards to a refund / exchange?

Can't really add a great deal to neilmcl's post above, but thought I'd let you know about my family's experience with Mamas and Papas.
We had one of the cheaper Mamas and Papas highchairs given to us as a gift by a relative a couple of years back. A few months into use we realised that the clip to keep it up wasn't holding it as tight as it should have, which led us to worry that it could collapse during use. We phoned and emailed them, and eventually they agreed to have it collected so they could take a look at it. Think this took a bit of perseverance on my OH's part, mind you! They returned it a week or so later saying nothing had been wrong with it, but funnily enough- the problem had been sorted, so I guess there must have been something.
Have heard since that they're not great when it comes to customer service though, so either they've gone downhill, or we got lucky!0
