0800Sports.co.uk Problems

I placed an order with this company on 1st December. When it still hadn't arrived 2 weeks later and after I had been told it was dispatched on the 3rd December I rang to find out what was going on. Turns out it had never been dispatched so I canceled the order and was told I would be refunded.

Come 21st December still no refund so I phone again. The guy I speak to is moaning about the snow in Basingstoke bringing his business to a grinding halt which I can sympathize with but he assured me all refunds were processed the previous Friday.

It's now 11th Jan & still no refund, I phoned their telephone no 5 times last week and it just rings out. I have sent an email to [EMAIL="complaints@0800stores.co.uk"]complaints@0800stores.co.uk[/EMAIL] as it says on their website they take complaints seriously, again heard nothing.

I paid with my debit card so wont be afforded the same protection I would have with a credit card. Im not sure what my next move should be, but im £26 out of pocket and not happy at all. 0800sports.co.uk are total cowboys and should be avoided at all costs. Also you have to phone them on an 0844 number but call themselves 0800sports?

It looks as though this company has now issued me with a refund and a £10 voucher. Shame I had to publish my problems on here just to get a refund.

My experience with this company could not be better....with just 2 days to go to our holiday I was let down by another company from whom I'd ordered a beach shelter (small tent). I found an "SKLZ sport umbrella" via Google on their site and a phone call assured me that it WOULD be with me the very next day...I ordered it and was delighted to receive it as promised.
With one day to go to our hols I opened it only to find some small rips in the fabric, in no way would it be un-usable but obviously totally un-satisfactory as a new and quite expensive product.
To be fair this clearly was not their doing as it was all still sealed up from the factory in China.
I contacted them and spoke to Ian who said to use it on holiday and they would replace it upon our return.
I did so and with some skepticsm rang them to see if they would fulfil their promise (no paperwork, just a verbal agreement) and, yet again was delighted beyond belief when the replacement turned up next day again - with permission to keep the damaged one as well !
If that is not EXCELLENT customer service above and beyond then I don't know what is !

Full marks to 0800sports, they have been a top company to deal with. :j

I have used 0800 Sports and found their service was excellent. I bought some winter cycling gloves from them. They were delivered promptly, but i had chosen the wrong size. I sent them back and they sent me a larger pair free of charge. I would have no problem using them again.
