Looking For Npower specialists ??

Hi

Been with Npower for around 2 years now, and on the whole have been fairly happy.
But every few months they role out a new online tarriff.
Does it pay to keep upgrading as the come out or is the previous one better for the term. I notice they never advise to do anything.
Im on online 16 duelfuel and online 17 is now out.
Do any of you experts have any recommendations..

It varies. Sometimes the older tariff is cheaper and sometimes the new one is cheaper. And it also varies with your useage - quite often the structure will be altered dramatically so there is a greater charge to low users despite a cheaper headline price to avearage users.

Easiest way to check is to use the online sites like energyhelpline or uswitch - they have both SOL16 and SOL17 listed so choose your useage with SOL16 and see where SOL17 appears on the results table


17 has a higher standing charge but cheaper gas prices and slightly more expensive electricity prices. So for average households with gas central heating 17 will be cheaper.
