Tesco Clubcard Credit Card

I am thinking of applying for the Tesco Clubcard Credit Card but do I need to already have a normal Tesco Clubcard with them to get it? Or will I automatically get one if my application for the credit card is accepted? Or can it be linked to my mother's Clubcard?

Can points be redeemed only in-store or can they be redeemed online at all?

Your card will also serve as Clubcard when you shop...do not need a Clubcard to apply for the credit card

It can also be used online and exchanged for vouchers for activities/things see the Tesco Clubcard website.

When you apply there is a bit that asks for your clubcard number. If you leave it blank they will open a clubcard account for you. Not sure if you will be able to link it to your mums clubcard, i doubt it. Your credit card will also be your clubcard, when shopping in Tesco when you pay with your card, you get points automatically on your card. If shopping in Tesco but you dont want to pay with your card, just hand it to the cashier and say that you want the points only on the card, and it will be used as a clubcard only.

You get sent vouchers every 3 months to the value of your points (1 point=1p). They can be used in-store or on selected departments on-line (grocery shopping and tesco direct are 2 i know for sure you can use your vouchers on). They can also be used to pay for petrol at tesco petrol stations.

Tesco clubcard points on the cc are double points on Tesco purchases for a period of time and otherwise 1 point for every £4 spent. OH has just taken out a tesco cc and linked it to my clubcard number and I also have a tesco cc - so you may be able to link it to your mothers, although obviously we both live at the same address.
