    Dear Jimmi
According to theor T&C people could open up to 3 a/c. However,
If your partner want to opne you could actually have it 7 Vantage e.g.
3 under your name, 1 join a/c, 3 under your partner to make up 7 a/c.

That's what we have got, 3 each plus a joint account, when we log on it shows 4 Vantage accounts each, I am due money from AA account in November, will try and open another and see how it goes.
Best rates about 4% and 7K an account with the same 1K going round all the accounts

Good, that is what most people are doing. I have 3 vantage a/c with them. The best current a/c in the UK in term of interest rate, I believe ..

I just phoned Lloyds to upgrade my existing Classic account over the phone. Lady said she would add Vantage to the account as for some reason I was unable to do it online. How long does it usually take to upgrade? Still shows as Classic online.

Is there anything to stop me legitimately having 3 accounts in my name, 3 accounts in wife's name and 3 accounts in joint names - total 9 accounts?

I have been following this issue from various threads, I have not heard any person who has reported this. I have read about 7 but not 9. I think it is wort a trytry and share your expereince. This is the best current a/c in term of APR. But I suspect not.

    Hi,

I'm a little confused as to what happens when your balance in a Vantage account goes over £7K.

My understanding was that you don't get any interest on the amount over £7K but would still get 4% interest on the amount up to £7k.

However, when I was at my local branch of Lloyds, a member of staff told me that if your account hits over £7K, you don't accrue any interest for that period.

Does anyone know if the rules have recently changed? I phoned up Lloyds and no one really seemed to know anything!

    Thanks

    So just to confirm:
    • Currently you can have as much as you want in the account but only the first £7k will earn interest
    • Later this year if you go over £7k you will not receive any interest on any of the balance
    Is that correct?
