It is of a man who is worried........., that is my perception and I'm sure many others think the same.
On a disucssion forum who knows - you could be right? But what is your perception of the people that keep responding to his posts - and worse still bombarding him with questions. Are they really as secure in their beliefs as they'd have us believe?
At the end of the day I think the most likely scenario is everyone is just doing what it says on the tin - DEBATING house prices, the economy and the recession.

Alas, most people resort to debating Hamish now. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Mate, Julieq tried to have me on that one, I ain't worried, you only worry about somethin' when you fail to accept it, I will discuss my views at length on that subject because it fascinates me how human race will cope when we hit the downward slope.
As I've said I have a slightly macabre humour about it, it's like we are in a train heading off a cliff, yet 99% of the people on the train have no idea about what is coming, 0.5% know about and deny it and 0.5% see the reality. I'm waiting to watch.0 -

Housing shortage deniers..... who have an atrocious track record.
Sounds pretty familiar around here.
They'd better be quick.
Prices up by 10% in 10 months, and predicted to be up another 15% plus by 2012.
25% + in 3 years is faster than most FTB's can save, no matter where they live.
Predictions? I thought you and your fellow bulls didn't think much of predictions. Or is that only when bears post them? :rolleyes:0 -
Was thinking about this earlier, about FTB's that are priced out and how people think Hamish enjoys that.
It's obviously a big shame for them, and unlike Hamish I don't think that people who do own now didn't buy because they were financial geniuses, they just bought a house when they needed one and got lucky.
However, the tone of satisfaction that you see in Hamish's and other bulls posts comes from 18 months of people cheering the price crash on, taking great delight in seeing people slip into NE for being "sheeple", posting TIMBER in enormous letters, telling every homeowner on here that they live in a shack or caravan etc etc.
FTBers in general get sympathy, but if any of the "bears" on sites like this and hpc expect any sympathy then you can take a running jump.
That's kinda how I feel anyway. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
by looking at the predictions from the usual suspects from the last couple of years i'm surprised that they keep on coming back with the stuff they've predicted :rolleyes:Predictions? There, there.
So basically what you're saying is you vastly over-extended yourself and it's all the bears' fault.
Poor little you.0 -
