    I just want to say:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Trying to wash the curtains in the DR......except they are not co-operating with me

I cant get the pole down, the end seems to glued solid, and the pole is too long to slide out without hitting the wall, so now I have one down and one half down:mad::mad::mad::mad::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Stupid blinking things

    Hi All :hello:

Not much flying done as had appointment with the bank to sort out finances. Took the opportunity to go the the 'poundstore' and stock up on lots of things and also a quick shop in Mr T's.

Spent hour and a half in bedroom sorting out clothes in wardrobes - they are now tidy and colour coordinated :T

Thank you to Toots, Soappie and Pigpen for their hard work

Welcome to all the newbies this week and special hugs for Turks - you have my heartfelt sympathy. Lost my father last year and know what you are going through.
Diva - sorry to hear about your friend and hope things are bit better with Tris and your cat
Jinky - Good luck with the curtains and hope you are feeling better today

Ok, after my 2xHHC I've made progress, but not sure whether it's absolutely enough to finish the list completely....
Need to finish the 'important numbers list first, and I'm also not sure whether I've been duffled by my coats.

TOOTS - Will you accept what I've done on the coats, or do I have to wait until the weekend? I want to wash and bag the stuff for a charity drop-off, so it will fit in well with a charity/throw thing next week?

    Mon
day - Living room, hall and stairs
    Level one
[STRIKE]Clear floors of clutter and vacuum them[/STRIKE] and mopped the hall
[STRIKE]Make time for yourself!! Half an hour of peace!/hobbies/SOAADFA [/STRIKE]Just about to do a crossword for half an hour...
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe sofas[/STRIKE] Turned the seat cushions, hoovered and fluffed
[STRIKE]Vacuum under furniture you can safely move.. I don't want any hurt bodies![/STRIKE] Moved tables and chairs - not the sofas or the piano, though!
Sort coats and shoes and bags Want to sort through all the coats and outer wear hanging in various places around the house, as there are loads which are too small, too tatty etc, and which could be recycled. Need family input & may do this at weekend. Meanwhile [STRIKE]I have taken the suspects down and put in the spare room[/STRIKE]. And I have [STRIKE]Sewed the loop back on DH's coat so it doesn't keep falling on the floor[/STRIKE]. Is this enough to claim it's done for now?
    Level Three
Sort out emergency box.. in case of power failures etc..[STRIKE] candles, matches/lighter/torch/batteries [/STRIKE] these are all in the utility room cupboard and emergency numbers.. plumber, gas, electric, water etc - I have these, but I need to put these on a poster for the wall in the kitchen along with other important numbers
[STRIKE]Organise a bookshelf![/STRIKE] I replaced this with tidying my "hall- post-stand-telephone-book-cupboard-thingy" which was covered with junk mail, out-of-date brochures and catalogues..... and I redirected some letters and contacted 2 firms by e-mail to tell them to take the address off their mailshot list (I've found this is really effective in most cases, by the way).
Check smoke alarms DH, tonight. He's taller...
    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Wipe tops of downstairs door frames[/STRIKE] Yeuchhh!
    2. [STRIKE]Wash any soft furnishing that need it[/STRIKE] Got a chocolate splotch off a pale silk cushion and hoovered the backs of the curtains, by the rails.... Hem. Just a few cobwebs there......:o
    3. [STRIKE]polish and dust all the electricals![/STRIKE]
    4. Binbag dance..

Got distracted after my HHC, Boyf came home as college closed because of a stupidly small amount of snow. He's gone out with some friends so I'm having a lazy moping day. List has been updated though.

Going to sort through emails now, then might do a couple of my declutter challenges. Need to start revision at some point too.

      Love and hugs to everyone
