Im just going through the proces of getting a Howdens kitchen.

The designer came round and mesaured up and designed the kitchen he wouldnt tell us the price as we had to get our joiner to get the price.

The joiner gave us the quote and from then on we have been able to deal direct , the joiner isnt adding anything on top

So far it has been great customer service, i email design changes and within a couple of hours later a new plan and CAD drawing has been sent.

Kitchen comes on Monday , i only ordered it yesterday , so far i have been impressed

Im sure you can get better quality, but as i have a small budget price is a factor, i got 9 solid oak framed units with oak vaneer panels, worktops, upstands, soft colse doors & wine rack for £1400 inc VAT , this was cheaper than Homebase wanted for there cheap foil wrapped units, i doubt a independent place would even get close !

    Ok - I concede!

I'm no expert in fashion, it's kind of like comparing a suit from Matalan to something made to measure from Savile Row.

Yes a designer kitchen will of course be more expensive than a Howdens but it doesn't have to be that much more!
