Hi,
I am trying to fill in an application form I have downloaded off the web.
The document is in Word format but when I start entering text into the boxes the text colour is green, and I cant change it to black!
I know its probably something simple. any ideas?
Thanks

prehaps this is a word template,
it has been set up this way for ease of reading, check to see if it is a .doc or .dot format0 -
Can you not just highlight and change to black?
Presumably is a template set up by the company so they can easily read the green text?:rotfl: :j :T :bdaycake: :xmastree: :bdaycake: :T :j :rotfl:0 -
Maybe it's supposed to be in green? If you want you can press ctrl + a (select all) and then change the colour to black. Alternatively, it could be the field that is set to green so you need to highlight it (and the space around if if there is any just to be on the safe side). Either way I don't think it's a big problem, unless you're printing out and have no green ink left!0

Thanks for your help, managed to chabge text.
Still having trouble with this form though, is there a way to print guidelines as without them the form looks a mess when printed???You can't con an honest man!0 -
Without being able to see your document, if it's a table I would suggest you try Cltr/A (Select All) or "Table" then "Select Table" followed by "Format" then "Borders and Shading" then on the Borders Tab select "All". Choose "Print preview" to see if the gridlines appear before printing.0

Hi,
Tried that but it didnt work, the lines appear grey on the form but when I go to print preview they disappear! You can't con an honest man!0 -
Select the table then if you go into "Format" "Borders and Shading" what is it set to on the Borders tab (None/Box/All/Grid/Custom)?
I suspect it is set on "None".
Click on "All" then "OK" then "Print Preview". It works for me.
Make sure "Apply to : Table" is selected on the Borders tab as well.
Other than that, I dunno.0
