What is the laptop going to be used for?0

I wouldn't tell you what to buy, but do take a few minutes to look at www/dell.co.uk
Their laptops are (imo) very good value for money.

I too would not tell you what to buy but in general processing terms the ACER AS5622WLMI (second laptop) is the better.
I would say that it is pointless paying for features that are not going to be used so if the machine is not going to be used for gaming for example then go for one with a lower spec graphics card (which should bring the price down)....
I would also second the comment regarding Dell, good value and good quality machines.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
I don't exist, it is merely your imagination.
Justice for the 96. - Google It.0 -
It will be used for surfing, e-mails, music for MP3 etc....
I can't recommend Dell to the person as they had a Dell which brokedown and is unrepairable after less than 2 years.0 -
That is a good price for the Aspire 5622WLMi, I paid over £700 from Laptops Direct a few months ago. The only thing to know is that the 80GB hard drive is partitioned into two equal partitions. Search the internet and you will find other discussion about this.
One of the partitions is called Acerdata, so if you put this into Google it should find something.0 -

I think Acer split the hard drive as standard, my own is split.0
