Remote control light switches?

For historical reasons, we have a room in our house where accessing the main light switch involves walking into the room in the dark to tun it on - a distance of about 10 feet. Rather than chase a channel across the walls to get the switch next to the door, it occurs to me that I might use a remote control switch instead, this being the year 2010 and all.
So I've just been Googling for one, but they all seem to be IR dimmer switches designed to be used by hand-held controllers.
Does anyone where where I can get a simple, wall-mounted remote switch pair (sender/receiver)? Also, it can't be infra-red since we're not talking line-of-sight (the switches are at 90 degrees to each other). I thought there would be loads out there.

B&Q do a good range of stick on remote switches.0

I use the ones that B&Q sell - HomeEasy I think they are called. I have them on all my table lamps and keep a control unit by the front door and back door. When I come in, one click turns one lamp on in the living room, hall, stair landing and kitchen. It means I can walk into the house with lights on - I also use them on the TV and computer so I can switch off the standby, if you know what I mean.
I think they are fab!0 -
I was looking on the MK website yesterday and they have just realsed a new range of switches that are wireless and, require no power source to operate which sounds funky0

Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0

Or get a PIR controlled lightswitch:

Thanks for the suggestions all - the B&Q Home Easy range is probably what I want since it's cheap, but why can't they look like (or better still, work with) normal switches? The wife is not going to want something on the wall that looks like it was designed for a casualty ward.0
