council house help required

hi i need some help or some info

i am a british citizen but my wife is under immigration control, which means no access to public funds.

however i am on the council waiting list and have let them know of my wifes status, will it casue a problem if i accept a house even though the allocation is for only me, but both of us will move in

thank you any help will be appreciated

    If you have informed the LA as to your change of circumstances, your application should have been updated to reflect this.

    Having no recourse to public funds is not related to council housing.
    Gone ... or have I?

    When you told them about your wife what was outcome? letter, conversation or are you still awaiting a response?
    You need to contact them and discuss it if your unsure!

  • well after i gave all the details they requested they just said my status has been updated, but my entitlement remained the same ie band 3, 1 person
