I want to swap to a different provider (currently with Virgin)

Basically I want to swap phone provider. I currently use Virgin for phone and M broadband and have 400 inclusive minutes. My main reason for taking up this deal in the first place is that my Dad lives in the Philippines and has a mobile and it seemed like a good deal. However, for about the past month I have been unable to connect with him at all. Each time I call him I get a different Philippino each time and yet if I call via BT or Orange (or use a discount number) I get through to him immediately.
I also ring Australia and New Zealand from time to time but don't mind using the discount code and I can also call Philippines for 4p using a discount code.
Can anyone suggest a cheaper service which includes international calls? Here is my current bill breakdown (totals £36.50):
Telephone Line Rental 21 January - 20 February £11.00
Talk Anywhere 400 21 January - 20 February £17.00
Phone & BB Saving 21 January - 20 February £-8.00
Phone And BB Additional Saving 21 January - 20 February £-4.50
Call Displ 21 January - 20 February £2.00
Free Voicemail 21 January - 20 February £0.00
Broadband Size: M 21 January - 20 February £20.00
Any help gratefully received!

If you're on Virgin Media Cable,as opposed to Virgin National, you'll need to get a BT/Sky or similar phonline installed & then you can change your phone & BBand supplier.
Cable services CANNOT support other ISP's or Telco PSTN line providers.0 -

Ugh, this is already getting too technical! So basically you can only swap a cable for another cable or I just need to swap it to BT or Sky?0 -
Cable phone & broadband works in a completely different way to BT*,Sky ect.In order to get another phone & broadband supplier, ie Sky,you'll need to get a standard PSTN (BT) phoneline installed.
BT,Sky ect cannot use VM's existing equipment which is installed in your home for the reason I gave above*0 -

I've got Virgin Cable.0 -
We know he's on VM cable, because he has got 'M' broadband.
OP, only VM supply cable services in the UK. For any other phone landline you need a BT line. This can be connected free (until 31/1/10) in return for an 18m line rental contract. Follow the numerous links on this board for full info.No free lunch, and no free laptop

£20.48 including the International Boost. Add line connection (£59.99) and it is less expensive over the first year than your present deal.0
