Lets start with a rant!!! >:(
I am soo, soo angry that my washing machine is still not fixed, I reported it on New Years Eve but due to bank holidays etc it wasn't looked at until last Tuesday (which is fair enough) when the fault was diagnosed & spare parts ordered, the new parts were fitted on Monday but it still wasn't working.
I managed to get an engineer again yesterday who seemed to have fixed the problem but, surprise, suprise it's gone potty again so I rang up at 8am this morning & I have to wait until tomorrow for another visit.
This washer is only 6 months old so be warned-DO NOT TOUCH INDESIT WITH A BARGE POLE.
I'm so stressed out about it all. I have a 15 month old baby & have not been able to do any washing for almost 2 weeks, I can't get to a laundrette until the weekend as my husband works.
Any advice please?

We had a problem with Indesit washing/tumble dryer about 5 years ago.
The machine constantly broke down despite it being only a few months old. 3 Engineers came out to fix the problem but after a few days the fault persisted, it turned out it was a sensor that kept turning the machine off when a load was in.
I got the machine from Comet use to be a regular customer. But Comets terms were at that time, 3 strikes and you can have new goods.
The manger was quite bad so bad, that one Saturday we went in the store and caused such a scene one or two customers walked out. We were outraged that the manager went back on his word, and although I ain't a violent man I got so close to hitting that sun of a ******.
Needless to say I vented my disgust at the lack of decent after sales service at the time on Trading Standards vent board. I got a call a few days later from Comet head office a charming American guy quite senior apologising and offered me a knew machine (not Indesit) and £30 vouchers.
We were happy and still shop at Comet but only on-line.
Having spoken to the engineer on the phone he implied that that Indesit model had a problem with load balancing and that the sensor often cut off.
Previously an engineer told my wife that the problem was because we were using, the wrong type of washingyeah you got to laugh at these clowns. It seems to cant mix smalls and other items hence it causes an imbalance that causes the sensor to cut the machine off dual a cycle.
Funny that we never had this problem now with our Hotpoint, no previous machines.
Hope you get sorted

Hi -I am also having problems with an Indesit machine.
Now I've had the third 'engineer' out & I hope it is fixed.
Level of service is appalling - 'engineers' get away with murder. One couldn't find out house & when cust serv tried to call him back his phone was off. When he finally answered he was too far away to come.
Never buying one again - a strong letter of complaint going in - £10 compensation for taking day off & man not arriving - such a joke!0 -
From personal experience of Indesit - wouldn't touch them again. Had a fridge-freezer which decided one Xmas Eve to go wrong - fridge froze the fresh turkey overnight!!
A friend had a washer - thought it was normal for washing machines to break down twice a year :o
Another friend had a dish-washer. It broke down at least once a year and has now been consigned to the tip, at 3 yrs old. My Siemens is going strong and has never broken down. (Neither has my Miele washer - you pays your money and you takes your choice, I say :D )0 -
My brother worked as an engineer repairing domestic appliances for many years and he always told me to steer clear of Indesit.
Talking to people over the years about good/bad washing machines i have come to believe he was right.0
