completion!

Wondered if this is possible to complete by end of the month?

Have had mortgage offer before christmas, but solicitors , kind of muppets and had to dump them and employed other solicitor.
Seller , is buying aswell and very keen to exchange asap! i guess he cant buy his one without my money.

Today i emailed the solicitor telling him that my wife is pregnant and our rent contract is ending this january without the right to renew .. The first is true and the rent i m just saying a white lie.... but in reality need this to be sorted as soon as possible

Is it posible to complete in this timeframe or too short?

It is possible, if there aren't any major difficulties, but you can't say how long it will take and you definately need to plan for what happens in the event that you try to do this but it doesn't happen in time.

You will need to be quite actively involved to make it happen in that time, and know exactly what needs doing next and where are hold-ups are and be proactive in making sure they get progressed. Whilst emphasising to your solicitor the need to exchange and complete quickly is fine, ultimately it is not in your solicitors hands to achieve it, as they are in turn dependent upon input from a variety of other parties.

Having the seller keen to be quick will help, and if you are in direct contact that can be a help in identifying exactly where things are up to and who needs to do what next, and making sure there are no unnecessary hold-ups.

i am not worried about my tenancy and in ok terms with landlord, in the 3d month of 12 month contract with 6 month breakdown clause, and wife pregnant 4 months but i did email them hopefully to give them a bit more reason to be speedy. Lucklily got both seller and solocitors close to me so will visit as often as i can.. just wondered if that a bridge too far to pass;)

lost a vital 2-3 weeks with a solicitor who, everytime the seller called them they kept saying that i m not their client... my surname spellt wrong, my phone number taken wrong and i dont know how that hapened since i filled their online form to instruct them , not hand written ! thanks guys
