NSI monthly income

Hi,

I sent a cheeque to NSI 06 Dec 09. They replied 09 Dec 09 asking for proof of identity. Duly sent by return and my cheque cashed 14 Dec 09. Am I right in thinking that monthly income would be paid each month on 14 th ?

Also does the payment take time to clear or hit the nominated account on the same day.

If you cannot find the answers on https://www.nsandi.com, why not call NS&I free on 0500 007 007? They are there 07:00-Midnight every day. Then you will be sure to get the right answers rather than the thoughts of board members.

I invested in a Income Bond with them.

They sent me a certificate showing account opened on 19th November 2009

They cashed my chq on 20th November

And I received my first payment in my bank on 21st December cleared funds (21st December was a Monday)
