Lloyds TSB Loan - PPI Reclaim

I'm looking for some advice please. I took out a loan back in 2002 with Lloyds TSB which has now been settled. I'm currently suffering from financial difficultly and I'm trying to get hold of as much money as possible to help me get out of my bad situation. I'm pretty sure I took out PPI with this loan and would now like to reclaim it, however I don't have any of the paperwork associated with it. How can I get hold of my loan agreement details?
Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.

Hi there.;)
I take it the PPI was mis sold to you for some reason?
Here is the link to the guidelines of reclaiming, also check out the checklist of mis selling reasons of what applied to you, so you can write them in your letter.
There are also reclaiming template letters to help you through this, or you can just use as a guide and write your reasons.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full, and post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting.

Do you still have the account number?
If so that is fine, they may send you your agreement along with their response, but not always.
You can try tracking down your loan account number, by any old bank statements, if you banked with them, when you paid the monthly repayments, the account number is normally shown next to the payment.
Or you could try ringing them to ask if they still have your account number details of the loan.;)
Give it a go, good luck and please keep us posted. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Well that's the trouble, I don't know if it was mis-sold or not as it was so long ago. If I managed to get the original agreement from the bank how do I know if it was mos-sold or not?Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0

I see, well there are many reasons, for example:
They may have automatically added the PPI.
They gave you no option.
Maybe you would not have been eligible to make a successful claims, such as for unemployment, sickness etc.
There are a few of them, in the link I posted to you above check out the loan insurance link, there are more details on there as well.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
