no dx2 council tax comes off after works out between IB IS SDP all in i get 98 per week

If you live alone and are on IS/IB and DLA you shouldn't be paying council tax - you should contact them and give your details.

Putting the figures above into entitledto you are entitled to £5.75 per week IS.

I got this too. Hence my question about savings.
Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
    50p saver #40 £20 banked
    Virtual sealed pot #178 £80.25

  • i have also just rang about my benfit again and was told its the SDP that they are only giving £11.30 per week and not £51 as i earn to much on IB so they take the rest i dont understand this is no someone a year older than me and is getting every penny plus full rent on the benfits as mine

    hi thanks for the replys

    am 29

    live on my own

i am on dla every 4 weeks

Disability Living Allowance - mobility lower £18.65
Disability Living Allowance - care middle £47.10

IB long term £89.80 per week payed every 2 weeks
IS top up /Severe Disablement Allowance £49.10 every 2 weeks

housing allowance £332 per month but rent is £400
Ok Donna I am forgetting about what you got before, and going by the information above. Just to clarify a few things first.

    1. IB long term £89.90 per week (£179.80 for 2 weeks)
    2. SDA £24.55 per week (£49.10 for 2 weeks)
    3. Rent is £400 per month
    4. DLA care is £47.10 per week
    5. DLA mobility is £18.65 per week
    Is this correct ^^^^

Putting all of these details above into entitledto comes back with this:
You are eligible for Income support £30.30 per week
You are eligible for housing benefit £93.33 per week (You should not have to pay rent as you qualify for full Housing Benefit.)
    Regarding DLA:
This income is not included when calculating entitlement to benefits and tax credits

You really need to go back to the welfare person because if this calculation above is correct then you are not getting your correct entitlement.

    2. SDA /INCOME SUPPORT £24.55 per week (£49.10 for 2 weeks)
    3. RENT £332 AND HAVE TO MAKE THE OTHER £68 UP FOR THE £400 RENT

I have rang them today they are saying still i earn to much with my IB to get the full SDA and income support.

Also the rent office said that £332 is the standard rate for my age and still have to pay council tax

i have been facing the same problems for months and keep getting told the same thing

Donna - is it possible for you to print out this thread - particularly DX2's note above? If so, can you take a copy of it to your local CAB and they can help you negotiate with the various people involved. It does look like you're not getting everything you could be entitled to.

Donna you are going round and round in circles, please seek advice from the CAB, they will even act on your behalf so you don't get the round around any longer ;)
