I had problems uploading the corrected versions to Google, but they did seem to get there eventually. No idea on why they can't be saved off though
Will email you shortlyCheryl0 -
Hi Cheryl, I am using the OpenOffice version of your spreadsheet. Last night went to put yesterdays spend in, and there were no formulas for Feb. Remembered that I had to copy them but couldn't find it.
This morning I have found the instructions and tried to copy, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I could amend them manually, I used to work in IT too, but not sure if it will affect anything else in the spreadsheet.
I'm going to try again maybe try it in Excel first when DS wakes up and I can used his computer, as this little netbook only has OpenOffice on it.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

If you continue to have problems, then please let me know. I can insert them for you fairly quickly if you email me a copy of your s/sheet, but am heading back to work shortly - so unlikely to be around again until 5pm-ishCheryl0

Hiya
not sure if you are checking this but thought I'd update a bit. Managed to get the cells to copy eventually, but it is a bit of a faff and for me, copying the column from Jan Reg didn't work, I had to copy the column from Totals.
Your instructions for conditional formatting are different for OpenOffice, but I have done this and if anyone wants it, I have it saved.
the categories that aren't used, can they be deleted? I have just hidden them for now as I thought they make break something.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I ran through the copies in Excel as I wrote the instructions, so can only assume it's differences between the packages (that I'm not aware of due to having never used Open Office) that caused the problems
Categories that aren't used....
If they're ones that are linked to the 'Regular' pages, then deleting them from the Totals page could give some display issues on the Regular pages (as the titles are copied through, so you'd have a 'broken link'). But if you delete the corresponding line(s) from all Regular pages as well as the Totals it should work and look OK.
If they're ones that have their own pages (the Groceries, T&Cs and Others), then deleting the line from the Totals page is all that's needed - though I'd be tempted to delete the unwanted/unused page(s) as well, so you don't later start using them for something only to discover it doesn't get carried back to 'Totals'Cheryl0 -
Hi cheryl,
Sorry but I Pm'ed you I do apologise, I forgot about this thread, I am having a problem with my spreadsheet, On the "March REG" tab it shows column A but then skips toFGHI etc etc, I cant seem to figure out where the BCDE columns are hence it isnt updating on the "Totals" page for March, sorry to be a pain once again and I'm sure it's something I have done yet again lol but I would like to get this sorted whilst motivation is still high, thanks xxThriftkitten

Whoops!
All version look fne on my laptop, so not sure what's happened. Have you managed to 'hide' the columns.... that's the only way I can see it having lost columns and not shifted the column heading (ie. deleting column C would mean what was D is now C).
Try highlighting columns A and F on your page, then finding the 'unhide' option. In Excel 2007 I highlight the columns then right mouse click on the highlighted headings - and unhide is on the drop down menu that appearsCheryl0 -
something soo easy, but so hard for me hahha thanks cheryl, its now sorted xWhoops!

Cool! This is really helpful. I tried it and can't do it. I guess my spreadsheet's outdated.0
