  • Thanks. just had a look through the car handbook - it says that the wheels should be rotated after 7,500 miles - is it worth asking them to do that when they put the wheels back on?

Wait until you find out the tyre depths first. What car is it?
  • Its been a long time since I've had a service at a dealer, but I remember on one occasion leaving a BBC Watchdog callsheet on the passenger seat while having my Volvo serviced.

That car came back as clean as it was when it left the factory.

Getting a service would be the first option I'd suggest - if the service indicator is illuminated then the car is telling you it needs a service soon.
  • it's a hyundai i20
  • A service after 7k miles only is it the first service as most cars can go 12k+ or 2 years between services these days
