Hi. Im going through the stage of claiming ppi off egg and would appreciate a bit of advice
Its an old loan which has now finished and i think over 6 years. It was also bought online and i was wondering the best reason for the mis sold policy i can use when a send them a letter asking for the refund.
I think the best reason so far is the fact it was bought before 1997 when i believe they changed the box which you are meant to tick to opt in for PPI. from being pre ticked to not.
Any advice would be great and how i can best word it in the letter
thanks

Hi there Matt
Wishing you luck with these.
I understand an online reclaim can be more difficult to prove it to be mis sold, but with whatever reason you have keep at them, have you also checked the link of guidelines of reclaiming to check out the checklist to see if anything else applies to you here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
There are also template letters to help you through this, you can use these if you want to or as a guide and add your own reasons, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, and post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.
Good luck, please keep us posted.;)

I would have a search through the threads others have been successful with their claims with similar reasons it would be worth taking a look back. Good luck with this0
