Your current cards won't give you another 0% deal from or extend the current one while you've got a balance on the cards.

Your best bet is to apply for another card and transfer the balance. You'd need to do this asap to get the card intime and the balance transferred.

Virgin money are doing 0% for 16 months on balance transfers - that's where I'd try if I were you.

    They tend to be.

If your missus has only recently obtained the card, can you not transfer the balance to her card and work to clear it from there?

No, your wife's credit history is not relevant. It is your history which Virgin will assess when you apply for their card.

Provided you have always paid your Minimum Payments ontime, I don't see why you wouldn't be accepted. I have always found Virgin very generous with their Credit Limits. Good Luck.

They say that they aim to give you an instant descision online, but they dont always. I got a message saying that they needed to get more information but if i was accepted i would receive my card in 7-10 days. After 10 days i had heard nothing so assumed i was rejected however later on that day i received a text saying the card was on its way and would receive it in 7-10 days.
