Theatre tickets

HI

I have booked a two nights stay in London in March, got a great deal on a top secret hotel (MSE forum was great for knowing what the hotel was). We plan to go to see Legally Blonde on the 18th, any tips on the best place to get tickets for the best deals. Got excited when I saw a earlier post that there was a half price deal on but realised that was only for a few days in Jan. SHould I book now or wait and see if any other deals come up?

    Hello
Try HMV - got an email from them last year, not sure about prices http://tickets.hmv.com/tickets/slink.buy/e.120K/london/savoy-theatre/legally-blonde--the-musical.html

You might also get a deal at lastminute.com as sometimes you can get packages with dinner included for some shows.

    Also try theatremonkey.co.uk

    Hope this helps

as it is so new there are very few deals about, cheapest place to get full price tickets is via legally blondes official site they will link you through to the nominated main agent (ambassadors theatres)

as for special offer, the ones for a few days in january were part of the "get into theatre" programme so were limited to that time only.

they may do on the day tickets though from box office (sometimes first couple rows) but you have to get to the savoy early, i know from when we went to see it in december the quees were massive.

the show may be too new to be on there reguarly, and is always pot luck, so wouldnt risk it if the op is desperate to see this show and no other. (certainly would doubt they would have tickets, let alone discounted ones for saturday/friday night performances). whilst i have had many a great deal via TKTS booth, for something i am desperate to see would not risk it.

if the tkts booth is something op wants to consider, i would recommend they moniter this link. http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/tkts/whats_on_today/ or http://www.tkts.co.uk/ to see if it does appear on there (for instance if i intend to see a show on a wednesday night, i will check for each wednesdays listings as a guide of what may be on sale

also just have a look at www.broadwaybox.com/london
and www.theboxoffice.com (see tickets discount arm)

I think Legally Blonde has already been at tkts on a weekend but I think this was when everyone was hit by the bad weather and as someone else said, it's not a dead cert it'll be up there.

Also the show has a lottery and not day tickets. Info if you scroll down to the bottom: http://www.legallyblondethemusical.co.uk/tickets/index.php

Note: This post refers to the TKTS booth at the 'bottom' of Leicester Square and NOT the kiosks that adorn the perimeter of Leicester square claiming to be sell half price tickets, that in fact add on large extra charges! Be warned.
    .....

  • Maybe wait to see if it comes up on the Days Out Guide theatre tickets discounts? www.daysoutguide.co.uk

I think that you might just have to sit tight and think about booking something nearer the time, or cutting your losses and taking what you can get via the official website.

Not sure if this will help with the show you need, i usually use TKTS if its short notice, but this week bought discounted tickets for Mama Mia through See.com, saved £17 a ticket collected from box office
