Hi
Not got a great wireless connection to my Wii and not practical at this stage to connect wired. Can the Wii utilise a wireless N router for increased range? Had a bit of a look around the web with conflicting info as usual and nothing in the manual that helps.
Thank you for your replies.

 Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

well the Wii only supports Wireless B/G so it won't connect at N speeds. I don't know if you'd get increased range from a wireless N router if you're only using it for Wireless G though.
Would homeplugs be an option? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
N gauge is nothing to do with range it's increased speed and signal strength so yes if your wii supports N gauge it will help. Read the wii manual it will tell you there what wifi is supported but at a guess i'd say no because it's not widely used yet.0

It will run on a n router but it cant take advantage of the extra speeds although the signal strength may improve which may improve speeds up to the capability of the B/G network in the wii0

The only console that can use 802.11n wifi is the Xbox 360.0

Yeah, possibly worth a try, good idea. I don't think they are cheap though, anyone disagree? What sort of price would I expect to pay?
Thank you everyone for the replies too. Can anyone explain to me how to put a signature here?

Is there any chance of relocating your router more central and higher to give a better signal at the Wii0

A pair of Solwise 85mb homeplugs are about £40 (don't buy econnect!!!) with the AV200 variants coming in around the £75 mark.
Bought the ebuyer ones in May last year for a friend and so far no problem, prefer the solwise though!!
Don't forget the Wii doesn't have a network port, so you'll need an RJ45/USB adapter.4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -
