Well the freezer on my Hotpoint fridge/freezer has packed it in after 5 years so its time to replace it with a new shiny model.
I have the space to accomodate those new style American Fridge Freezers so I am looking to purchase one real soon.
Can anyone recommend me any good brands or models?
I need something that can offer cold water from the outside and has an automatic ice-making compartment inside (what can I say, im lazy!)
Thanks in advance!

I've got the Whirlpool which is great. Don't forget they need to be plumbed in though, (the Whirlpool has a built in filter, Neff probably has too).0

You should get a lot of responses as there was a huge thread on here offering a deal from Currys, the Samsung was down to about £500ish. I went into our local Currys and must say it did look nice.0

i have an amana which is a genuine american fridge freezer.we have had it five years and still in good working order.dont forget the amount of food you have to fill the fridge there is only three of us at home now and the food looks lost in it also dont forget the width of your doors as we were told by the delivery men that a lot of the time they could not get them through the doorBefore you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

I got a whirlpool from costco. I had to take both doors off to get it in the house which was interesting. Mine went crackers a few days after I got it and the fridge started to freeze up. I rang up whirlpool and they had an engineer round with in a couple of days for no fee even thou it was my fault the fridge had gone bonkers due to me blocking up a sensor vent with a case of beer. oooppppsss!!Nothing to see here, move along.0

We've Samsung.
Be carefull of the discounted offers in Currys/Comet, sometimes these are NOT the model you first looked at & are in fact a bit smaller!!
Samsung include a 3 year warranty (or did when we bought ours) & buy it on Nationwide credit card, to get a further years warranty.
The Whirlpool are getting cheaper & have an awkward, but clever ice maker/storage. It can get dirty, when you open the door!!
Buy your filters on line, around £15, rather than from the store - around £40!!!! http://www.pozzani.co.uk or similar!
