Barclaycard PPI

Hiya

as you can tell, am reclaiming PPI on a lot of things (on behalf of my mum!!)
I have had copies of statements from Barclaycard for 2 separate cards (was originally LPF).
They have responded to my first letters saying that they have no record of PPI ever being applied to these cards! I have statements showing it was and can provide them with copies! (which they originally sent to me!!!)

The question is, can I state this back to them in the next letter, that if they are unaware of PPI on these cards, then surely my mum must have been!!!!

Thanks guys xx
Pay off as much as you can in 2011: £780/£8000

    Hi there
    Good job you have these.:T
I would write back to them and send them copies not the originals.

This will change their tune on this, so go for it, good luck.;)XX

  • Thanks Di.
I requested the statements which they sent early December as I was reclaiming charges for my mum and noticed the PPI. She is currently about £40,000 in debt and just started on a DMP, but having seen how much PPI and late charges she has had, no wonder!!!
i'm sure I will be calling on you a lot as am different stages with each of them!
It just astounds me that they say its never been applied when they have literally only sent the statements last month!!:rotfl:

Good Luck with the claim for your Mum, we found Barclaycard (originally Goldfish)cc to be really quick and easy to deal with, we received a questionnaire from Bcard which we filled in to the best of our abilities and anything we were unsure of said that they would have a record on their files. They settled within 8 weeks.;)

    Your very welcome hun.;)
And your doing the right thing here for your mum, your right though it all adds up and having a worthless policy does not help, as she will unlikely benefit from it anyway.
Good for you, and of course please do post up anytime for help.:D

what are they like? lol :rotfl::rotfl:.
    Good luck. XX

  • Hi all

I haven'tposted in a while but just wanted to update on the PPI reclaim with barclaycard. As you can see we got one payout last year from barclaycard, but the other reclaim seemed to go missing. Its been a manic year but I restarted the reclaim in approx May of this year after the update on PPI reclaiming.
Its taken 6 months, and after much chasing from me, Barclaycard agreed to repay the full amount of £917!!! When I last chased them in late Oct, they said that an offer had been sent in August which we never recieved, I then needed to chase them again as it still didn't arrive, so anyone awaiting a response please give them a call as without this, we would still be sat waiting. We requested the money as a bank transfer and it was sent on 3rd Dec- just in time for a lovely Christmas :-)

Hope this helps anyway still awaiting a reclaim- there is always hope!!!! Thanks to the lovely Di and many other MSE'rs. xxx
