Hi
Having just heard you can claim back the PPI if it was missold I am looking to do it myself.
I bought a Corsa on finance when I was 18 yrs old (10years ago). The car cost £7500 and I paid back at least £11,500 so there was some PPI in there and didnt even know what it was and didnt get a choice. Now I cant find any of the forms or anything. I know the reg, is there anything I can do?? or shall I let it go??
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
Although its 10 years ago, I would still give it a go, and keep at them.
See what they come back with, as many on here have still been successful from reclaiming as from the 90's, if you don't try you will never know, so go for it.;)
Here is the link to the guidelines of reclaiming, template letters, mis selling reasons, you can use the templates if you want to or as a guide and write the reasons you have, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, post as well by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.

You write to the ones who sold you the finance.
Hope this helps but please ask for help anytime, and please keep us posted, we look forward to hearing from you, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

good luck,
as your information is very limited to date i would try the following
write to the finance company that gave you the loan asking for a SAR, there are links and template letters on this site to help you with this, it will cost you a small fee, but worth it.
providing the loan finished within the last 6 years they will have information which will be usefull,
if the loan finished more thna 6 years ago, they may not have the information, but its still worth a try as some companies still keep records longer.
the SAR will also give you details of how much PPI you were charged.
if you were mis-sold ppi you have a right to claim it back.
go for it
good luck.I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0
