You can get really cheap mannequins on eBay. I bought a kids one off there ages ago, not completely sure why though, I bought a whole heap of jewellery making bits as well that day, still not used them either :rotfl:0 -
amber - Yeah, you could say that in a fashion, I'm going to block him anyway cos sick to death of him bidding on my <beep> items and then expecting blooming free postage for it. He just riles me up constantly and I have seriously had enough of it now. But hey, how am I meant to tell my Dad to sort stuff out himself and to stop emailing me asking for things when I've got my own life, my own health problems and have all on just trying to sort myself out and look after me, my OH and 2 cats without having to run around after him as well. Then he has the cheek to turn round and say I dont phone him when he doesnt even bother to phone me either.
creditcrunch - try freeshare or freecycle as well0 -

I'm sure this has been covered already, but if we're buying goods to sell should we be paying income tax or capital gains tax?0

Income tax. Capital gains tax is to do with if you stand to gain from the sale of an asset such as a building or shares. If you run a business from home with a dedicated office for the business you may be liable for capital gains tax if you then sell your home.0 -
Thanks, I knew it was too good to be true. I have a Capital Loss registered with the Inland Revenue - would have meant I didn't have to pay tax on this venture. Oh well....0

That's terrific. This thread is proving that with imagination and advice, it is possible to start up a viable business for under £100.00.
Love your website too Amber. It looks professional and gets straight to the point, with a very straightforward pricing structure. P.S you don't look 41.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0
