Thanks jo70mo for your fab advice and excellent ideas! I love the idea of swapping skills/ tasks. I also like the idea of researching carrots lol - how random! The branch tree/ mind map theory is also excellent - i reckon that should work for me as i'll be able to dip in at different points which will keep me motivated and interested. Thanks for taking the time to post :)

I was just scanning some other threads in these forums and there are lots of really negative vibes in some with people squabbling about things! I'm so glad i decided to sign up for this one, everyone's amazing.
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

jo7-mo, thank for your tea and coffee! Feeling a bit sniffly, yes it's nice for the baby too when I type one-handed, currently I'm writing this while she climbs on the arm of the chair, banging the wall and shouting gibberish in my ear! Really like your post about getting things done, is it a book you're talking about? It sounds excellent :)

Chuffed because I've got my BB money in, have got £66.48 in my paypal from Sunday which includes payment for two items someone contacted me about following the end of the auction, I then managed to sell her something else that went with it so I'm happy they're going to someone who'll appreciate them cos I think they're lovely...I do of course realise one of the rules is not to get personal with your items but I do love it when people are happy with stuff!

Also, have got loads to put on a 5-day auction tonight, most of which I bought with my £100 start-up money! Think my vague plan is to get money together through Ebaying etc, while trying out crafty things, then decide upon something I can do well and start up a website, Etsy shop etc.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
  • OK, I’m really annoyed now. My bingon account was closed due to a fraud risk, which means my £140 winnings is not valid. ALSO my bingo on the box withdrawal request has been cancelled so thats another £47 lost.

So altogether, I have missed out on £140 + £47 + £80 (from Monday) and the original £30 i paid in to each account.

Wow what a brilliant challange. Putting in my first total of £105.84, from ebay sales and cashback. Sorry I'm a bit late starting but I have been trying desperately to catch up with what everyone is up to by reading the entire posts from the beginning but it is taking forever!!!!
Seems like lots of people are off to a good start. :T
I am trying to think of some more money making ventures, fancy getting a burger van so am currently looking into that. Anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.
Started selling stuff from round the house on ebay and amazon, also started my crafts up again, I used to do knitted toys, dolls clothes ect. You dont make much money though because they take so long to make. Might just make a big batch then sell them altogether.

Welcome to the mad house Auntie! A burger van sounds a terrific idea - we always say in our house - people will always buy fast food! It will probably be more a case of location, location, location!:rotfl:
I also am a lapsed knitter - thinking about taking it up again, perhaps on Folksy (def not Ebay) - my thoughts on this are - use good, unusual, expensive yarn, market your craft to those with taste - and money! (and price accordingly).
I'm looking at Not on the Highstreet.com for inspiration!
    Good Luck!

Wow i may have just been looking in the wrong places but it's very unfriendly on other threads! I've come back here where it's safe, reluctant to venture out again lol
