Ah! That's what I thought - so you use a debit card? That seems risky too - can they just "dip" into your bank account then? Sorry if that's a silly question, but as people seem to be winning with bingo etc it could be something I might try.0 -
The item I sold this morning was on play.com. I have just checked and I was the most expensive seller ! There are 5 people selling the same item cheaper than me - the cheapest person was £5 cheaper than me !
Go figure...
PS I just looked and I was the only one with 100% feedback. I only have one rating although I have sold hundreds of things, so I wonder if that did it??? Strange
PPS Nope, still dont get it . I was also £5 more expensive that play.com itself !! Dont understand.VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

I deposited on paddypower with paypal, if that's helpful? Although I don't think they can get money from your debit card, unless you give them permission.Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
Emminently you described me to a T !!
Thats why I started reading The Now Habit book that I quoted the other day. Its great because it really helps understand those blocks and how beating yourself up and saying just do it doesn't help but actually makes it harder to get going.
Some great info in there but its hard to take bits in isolation.
However one good tool is the reverse calendar. where you start with the finished task and work backwards with what steps you need. ie you want to open a shop. you put that and then work backwards so steps immediately prior to that might be hire staff, buy stock, and refit shop.
Then take each of those and do the same for each. so for hire staff might be book venue for interviews, write interview questions, invite candidates. then take each of these steps and write what needs to happen immediately before them etc until you kind of have a branch tree or mind map spreading backwards from the competed project to the actions that you can take immediately.
There will be a few different places you can start in all the branches you generate and no one of those is wrong so pick one that feels good and do it. Each bit is like its own mini project and less overwhelming than the whole yet each bit carries you towards the whole.
Anyway, thinking outside the box how about breaking our projects up and for the ones that are suitable do a task swap.
ie I'll research sock suppliers for you if you research carrot suppliers for me.
you plan what needs to be done and I do it for you cos its easier than doing it for me and I plan what needs to be done for my project and you do it cos its easier to do it for me than yourself .
If we did this with some small manageable early stage tasks our projects would both move forward and we might feel more able to take them further.
It wouldn't be a big risk cos we would start with the small tasks and see how it goes.
Or we could start a small group for task swapping /sharing a bit like a LETS skill swap scheme.
Just a thought.

Wow what a brilliant challange. Putting in my first total of £105.84, from ebay sales and cashback. Sorry I'm a bit late starting but I have been trying desperately to catch up with what everyone is up to by reading the entire posts from the beginning but it is taking forever!!!!
Seems like lots of people are off to a good start. :T
I am trying to think of some more money making ventures, fancy getting a burger van so am currently looking into that. Anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.
Started selling stuff from round the house on ebay and amazon, also started my crafts up again, I used to do knitted toys, dolls clothes ect. You dont make much money though because they take so long to make. Might just make a big batch then sell them altogether.Home is the nicest word there is- Laura Ingalls WilderMortgage Dec23 £97,696 Overpayments: Dec23 £500

I'm up for it Jo.
