The company I linked to will give you advice re the best chair if you have any back/leg/ shoulder probs. Oh and the chairs have at least 5 years guarantee with them.
They go from about £125 up to £600 a chair - the £125 is a special offer. I may go for that but they have advised I add on a sliding seat and some extra memory foam for the seat.

You don't give a location.... but for anyone who can visit Silvertown (near Thames Barrier) an excellent place for office furniture is: http://www.firstfruitwarehousing.org/about/about.asp
Went there with my ex-company when we needed a dozen office chairs - but members of the public can go and buy single items. They have in stock whatever they get from their sources.... ideal if you don't have to travel too far and have room to transport it yourself.
If you are into recycling, community support and saving money its a good place to go.
They are very friendly folk too.
Its a 9-5 Mon- Fri outfit - not ideal for all - but you can't have everything... all the time.0 -
We needed 2 new chairs and I ended up buying this chair from another seller on ebay (as I wanted it in a different colour)!
It's one of the few "value" chairs I found that is termed as for regular not occasional use and has a metal base not plastic (I'd broken a couple of plastic based chairs over the last year or 2).
I also checked a couple of office supply shops, selling the exact same chair (regular use) under different names and for a lot higher price to boot, before I managed to find it on ebay.
I don't really like like leather chairs so it made the search harder for me. OH and I both have bad backs and these chairs are pretty comfy.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
