I'v been looking into the bank of scotland reward account for me and swmbo.
i Was going to set one in my name, then one in hers.

is there anything wrong with transferring £1000 from our joint account with A&L to my account, in for a few days, transfer back, then into swmbo and back?

Net result £10 month.

No - you can transfer in and immediately out
Get 1 in joint names as well & thats £15:j
A&L > you >her>joint >A&L

If you can conjour up £3000K to Park add a LTSB Vantage into the £1000 cycle

£3000 - 3%
£5000 to £7000 4%

Still have the introductory rate on the A&L Premier Direct account.
so nothing to gain with LTSB,

Remember that A&L only do £250 faster payments max so you will have to send the money over the period of 4 days.

whats the limit for faster payments with rbs? could also do it via them.

so seems sending via rbs, with s/o is probably a better bet.

Transfers in/out can be done anytime in the month.

I use Tesco Savings & it takes less than 5 mins to bounce £1,000 in & out of my wife & my Reward accounts. £120 a year for less than an hour's work. Tax paid as well!
