Item not received - Company haven't refunded me.

Hi All,

I bought a bike online for my daughter's Christmas present on 4th Nov. Unfortunately it turned out to be out of stock and although I was initially prepared to wait on the 24th Nov I was getting nervous and asked to cancel the order. The company said it would refund asap. I expected to see that the refund had gone through on my credit card when I got my last statement however this is not the case.

The payment was via paypal but unfortunately I am outside their 45 day window to make a dispute. I will now contact my credit card company on Monday. Does anyone think they will be able to help? I believe transactions over £100 are covered but this was only for £70. My credit card is with Tescos.

Its a common problem with half the crap on this forum. Martin just seems to go on about Section 75, does not make any reference to the Visa/Mastercard "Chargeback Scheme"

Yes you are covered for goods not being recieved regardless of the amount.

Contact your bank advise them you wish to dispute the payment you have not got the goods.
They should send you out a form to complete asking you for.

Any documentation you have- Invoice etc.
Your contact with the merchant
Expected delivery date


You will get the money returned to your credit card- The bank will return the charge back to the merchants bank and unless they can prove delivery of said goods then they aint got a leg to stand on.
