Help finding socket... fused switch with plug socket

I am trying to find, without joy is a replacment double socket...
i want one which is a fused switch, and a single socket - a bit like a cooker socket which has an extra plug on it... or even a double socket size unit with a single plug socket and just a fuse for another appliance
The reason been is I am decorating one of the bedrooms - which the previous owner fitted a front outside light, but instead of running the cable through the wall, they ran it up into the room and plugged it in using a plug
Now that I am decorrating and have the skirting off, i want to bury the cable into the wall but cant for the life of me find what i need!
help!

Why do you buy a fuse spur and have it seperate to the double sockets. If you have a ring on the exsisting socket spur over to the fuse spur or if the cable is long enough take one tail over to the new fuse spur and get a bit of 2.5 between the 2 continuing the ring. this is assuming the exsisting socket is already on a ring main0

yeah the socket that it is currently plugged into is on the ring with no current spur)
that would be my next plan in adding a new wall socket - however i was hoping to avoid that as to be honest - i dont want to cut into the wall any more than i have to and the wall will end up looking rather cluttered.
there must be something out there - its just the matter of finding it!0 -
It shouldn't be two difficult to convert it two single boxes with a single back boxes then you only need a single plug and single fused spur connection.0

Thanks...
I think im going to add an additional spur fused switch plate - just found that you can get plasterboard mounting box's instead of having to cut and secure onto a stud which i didnt really want to do - however cutting into the plaster/plasterboard I can do.
However I have noted that cables should only be run verticaly - if i want the new fused switch to be next to, or close to the existing one - do I have to run the cable down to under the floor then back up to comply? Seems a bit overkill really!0 -
Horizontal a short distance is not really a problem (30cm or so) esp at socket height unlikely any one putting up pictures will be down there.0

Rather than 2 single backboxes, use a 'twin' or 'dual' backbox (not a double). It is designed for two side-by-side single size faceplates.

That way you will get a neat finish for the two items, with minimal additional wall to be cut into for it to fit, as it is only slightly wider than a standard double.0 -
awsome - very good alternative to the suggestions above.
I will have a look in Wickes and B&Q when they open to see if they have them.0 -
well they didnt have any - so ordered one off ebay... hopfully it wont slow progress down that much.
thanks
