also in same boat with same account,i also didnt realise that interest would be paid annually in my case october 2010 although thats most likely my fault as i had believed i would be getting interest added monthly , i had only planned on keeping account for 6 months to get the good interest rate but in light of above posts i will be transferring the £10k limit every day to a new account once i decide who is competitive at moment, i wish i had gone with my instinct and avoided northern irish banks which i have done all my life ( i live in n.ireland),no big loss, just need to read the small print better next time0

All RBS group savings work like this - Barclays also have a 10k a day limit on their accounts (which not too long ago was 1k!)0

Yes - I brought it up here in December after one of their customer service guys mentioned it in a preliminary call ...but as it wasn't mentioned on their site I think it wasn't taken seriously on here.
I didn't worry too much 'cos I wasn't putting that much in. But if not in their published terms I can't believe it's legal?0
