Whrilpool American fridge freezer water not working?

Hi, the water has stopping working on my Whirlpool American fridge freezer, the ice is working and the temps in both fridge and freezer are ok just not the water.
I can only find advice on "if the ice is not working" by googling and even in the booklet but nothing on "why the water isn't working".
Anybody have any ideas?
Really don't want to pay for them to come out.
Thanks

Is the pipe to the fridge running through the garage, or anwhere else it could freeze up?0

Ice is usually stored, and doesn't use the water until it makes the next batch normally.0

I emptied out the ice container and it has since refilled so don't know why the waters not working too as would have thought its the same connection/feed?

If you ever find a solution for this, I'd be interested to know.
We've had our Whirlpool F/F for about 6 years and the water has worked for maybe a year of that, intermittently. It's been taken apart and looked at by at least a dozen different engineers and none could find a solution. In the end, they acknowledged that they knew it was some sort of design fault as mine wasn't the only one they'd looked at but I was the only person who had persisted in making them try to fix it. Even I gave up because it got incovenient to keep calling them out, only to get no closer to a fix.
To be honest, it's just one of several issues we've had with the F/F. I'll never buy another Whirlpool even though it was one of the best recommended at the time. Hope you have better luck than I have had!0 -
Water doesn't work if door is open at all - could it be that it doesn't 'think' the door is closed?I think....0

Hi thanks ya scrolled through all 40 pages of the main replied to section and although there are different problems with the water spluttering and ice not working, flashing lights and temp etc nobody seems to have just "everything working but just not the water as I have"
Looks like a will have to call them out.
thanks0
