I rang about applying for another Egg card, and I was told it was 12months.

Not sure about Amazon, but I hope this helps.

Barclaycard is 6 months. I was hoping amazon would be the same... or wishful thinking less!

Amazon is an HBOS card, so only 30 days from closure till you can be considered a new customer :)

Some discussion on closing HBOS accounts and reapplying here.

Amazon is an MBNA card. It hasn't been HBOS for around 6 months.

Really? Thanks for the update. That'll be closer to "nearly instant" on MBNA backed applications instead of 30 days then.
